Application Driven Growth

Application Driven Growth

All of us keep talking about new-age skills, re-engineering thoughts that can help you get the edge, help to grow both personally and professionally. Since the time the industrial revolution has taken place, we have witnessed a paradigm shift in the advancement of the overall skills landscape. Skills we never heard about, was the talk of the town. After some time those hot skills shifted to vanilla buckets. An absolute new blend of technology again hit us and made the erstwhile skillsets look obsolete. During the entire phase of this technology and skill revolution, one thing that remained constant (and probably will be going forward) was the adaptive mindset, the minds who were willing to learn, the neurological flexibility of those to learn, adapt, and apply these advancements at the workplace were finally getting the brownie points. It does and will keep helping the establishment and any set up to grow but parallelly led these minds also to experience something different, experiencing a new way of work-life and probably help them to evolve themselves in their personal growth too.

As per the World’s economic forum’s future of job’s report, 50% of all employees will need reskilling by 2025, as the adoption of technology increases. `How we enable the application of these new skills, what is the system and culture landscape to practice and contribute to these will probably enable the growth of the entire ecosystem in next 3 to 5 years.

Application of even an iota of your learning can make a significant advancement in your overall stature of thoughts, makes you receptive, full of experience, and full of life. Theories can make you aware but the application of any theory in practical life whether personal or professional would help you to embark on your journey of being the person you always wanted to be.

Power of Intuition

Power of Intuition

Most of the times, we hear leaders stressing the word “gut feeling”, that gut feeling is not related to logic or reasoning…that is acquired through experience and your natural instinct. In modern day business scenario, when technology is taking front seat in every discussion, people with strong intuition and sixth sense take much stronger decision which can even surpass the logic provided by technology.

Intuition is one of the psychic ability that is bundled into our stomach, our gut. Many a times you come across a person during interview and you get the gut feeling whether the person is good or bad for your organization. Your intuition tells that this person has the same characteristic and behaviour as someone you already know. Your experiences coupled with your gut help you in taking the decision. A person with strong intuition don’t let his/her vision gets into the way of gut feeling.

It is believed that out of the 7 chakras present in human body, the brow chakra (3rd eye) is located in between the eyes. If a person can align these 7 chakras , the intuition or the divine messenger become clear and a new insight is provided to human. Now a days. in every sphere of our life people talk about staying fit, fitness regime etc, one of the most important aspect is mental fitness through meditation which in turn will help you to take strong intuitive decision for your organization which only you can foresee…

Build up to your Conscience

Build up to your Conscience – Series 2

It was a scorching day of the summer season, when we eagerly used to wait for the evening so that we can get permission from our parents and go out to play with our friends. Little did they know that most of these evenings are not spent in playground rather spent in accumulating & plucking the raw mangoes from a nearby fruit garden. The sheer idea and adventure of climbing those walls & trees used to give goosebumps to all of us.

The entire planning and assigning of key responsibility used to happen a day before. There were a few in our groups, some physically stronger and few had a sharper level of intellect who used to suggest creative way to accomplish our target. After proper planning and execution, we (4 of us) were on the top of that big mango tree, plucking those raw mangoes and enjoying in the shade of it. Indian summers, as you all know is terribly hot and even at the evening time of 4/5 p.m there is hardly any respite. With all those hot winds blowing across, it makes life difficult bearing the grunt of heat. While sitting over that tree, we could see the entire garden full of of trees, plants and lot of greenery. Those big stems and the branches of mango tree embraced us and it felt like we all are sitting under the shade and warmth of our elders. We used to sit there for hours and felt a freshness in-spite of the heat. That garden was not the only one, there were similar gardens across full of life. But we have evolved now with all kinds and phases of Industrial Revolution, those old fruit gardens does not look the same now. Some of those trees have grown old now, they are not as green as they used to be earlier.

We realized later in our life, how these trees, plants and the fruits coming out of it completely loose their identity to become a part of us by embracing and enriching us. They completely forego their own existence, their own life processes and become a part of me(us) As a human being have we allowed these trees and plants to be a part of our ecosystem in the similar way? The answer to an extent may be Yes, but is that enough? The way entire ecosystem is evolving ,the environment is changing, do we still believe and foresee our future generation to enjoy fruits themselves from those garden? Probably yes or may be never, the answer to the same lies in our own hand . Let us make a ritual for all us to plant trees who provide us the most precious chemical element Oxygen to breathe, which we get at 4000 Rs a cylinder if we need to get it from market. All important and essential elements and learning of life processes , which we assume to be granted today, probably someday we may have to pay a hefty amount to get the same.

Need of Appreciation and Positive Strokes

Need of Appreciation and Positive Strokes!

Most of us might have offered a chocolate or a candy to a kid in our family, and the immediate response that we might have heard from the parents/guardian telling to the kid is “Say Thank you”. That’s the initial learning that all our parents and we all as parents might have given to our kids- the learning and the ART of saying Thank you !!

It seems so easy, doesn’t It? But do we really use this word religiously now?

What happens, when we grow up from kids to adults, when we have abundance of those gifts, our frequency and the gratitude towards using these two words “Thank You” and showing those gestures diminishes significantly. For the first time, when we receive even the tiniest of things, we feel so humbled and full of gratitude towards that individual and Say Thank you ! As & when our number of fulfilled needs/desires have gone up, the usage of these 2 powerful words has come down significantly & this is not only applicable to the organizations/institutions and probably every sphere of our lives.

When was the last time, when your action or words brought a big smile on someone’s face? Probably we don’t remember, But think about the last time, when your words and actions have led to trouble with your colleagues your friends, families, probably half an hour back ! Each one of us is earning our livelihood by utilising our skills/competencies/expertise and getting a return on that through monetary benefits/perks/salary etc, that we are earning & this will continue for ever. However the missing link in this entire ecosystem is that irrespective of the money that you might be earning, there is always an expectation of receiving positive stroke. After all, we all are human being and every one of us expects that.

We might have availed the services of a rickshaw puller sometime in our life, Have you ever said a Thank you to him (apart from giving his due fare), and seen the smile on his face. It works wonder, It gives that individual a belief that -Yes – His work (however small it may be) is appreciated by someone. You might have told only two words to him but for that individual , it might have worked wonders.

There had been numerous scientific studies done on gratitude and the benefit associated with that. Some of the research done on this field suggests that gratitude may be associated with various benefits for individuals, including their psychological and physical health, more happiness, greater work satisfaction, even some of the studies suggests that people who scientifically follows the art of showing gratitude by keeping gratitude journal, expressing more gratitude are more happier and less materialistic.

Hence, the need of the hour is gratification, appreciation, where Millennials are expected to overcome the boomers this year across the world and hence more the need of instilling that positive stroke amongst them and instilling a culture of reinforcement that saying Thank you , showing gratitude for the good work done or any help does not commensurate of bracketing individuals as high performers or superman. It simply means you are acknowledging a person’s help for his/her commitment towards their duties and instilling a sense of accomplishment and boosting an individual self esteem.

I have heard and witnessed many so called leaders saying that if we appreciate too often, the essence of appreciation is lost. But the point is no one is asking you to fake appreciation, it’s a genuine gratitude. It can be as simple as Thank You or even a pat on the back – say Good Job. You have to give positive strokes to individuals so that the entire ecosystem is full of positivity. Make someone else feel good, let’s make a day for an individual. It’s a very strong psychological boost, you create around your environment when you instill the culture of appreciation , culture of care, culture of belongingness and trust. It starts from your home. Make their day by acknowledging efforts starting from your housemaid, sweepers, your security guards, office boys, your families, your employees, as each of these deserve and need more positive strokes in their life. Create a culture & atmosphere, where individual is wanted and needed and valued for what they are.

Be Humane first and then become leaders.Let’s not focus on only one date for this ,let it be a culture , a tradition and a core value within each one of us !

Don’t go to the grave of deceased person and tell over there, how good a person he was. Express the same , once he is alive.

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not gifting it.

Its rightly said, The thankful heart is always close to the creative forces of the universe, carrying countless blessings to flow towards it by the law of reciprocal relationship, based on a cosmic law of action & reaction !

Together We Can

Society and people around judge you, let them judge you can overcome the judgments. But the moment, you are judging yourself, creating self doubt, creating fear within, it’s difficult to overcome.

I went through the 2nd phase first to an extent that I was scared of meeting my relatives, with the apprehension that I am not good enough, I can’t speak to them , I am shy, I hardly see people in eyes and you can add many more apprehensions to that. It became difficult to overcome those. Until I realized it’s better to accept who you are, love yourself, show your true self, show your vulnerability (re confirms the fact that you are a human being) ,feel that you are good enough (even though you are not). But it’s absolutely fine, since you have accepted and sent a signal to your mind that you are good at something (of your liking) and later when you realize that you actually are not, you strive even harder to validate and reaffirm those thoughts and in the process you actually become a better version of self. It happened with me and probably can happen with any of you

I hardly spoke in my school till my graduation days , but the moment you overcome the fear of failure, it becomes very easy to accept yourself and you can actually overcome the self doubts. Once you cross this stage, appreciation and criticism is not going to affect you anymore. You are much more balanced in your approach towards leading life

We are not here to train you , neither are we going to share something which you probably don’t know. We have embarked upon this journey with an intent to lighten up your life by re enforcing the power that you all carry within, through our experiential learning programmes. The power which helps you to actually transcend from transaction to transformation. You have the caliber and capability to make good with your life and career in the best possible way

In our honest endeavor, if we are able to manifest even one percent of the power that you already posses, we would consider #DKP journey to be fruitful one !
